Pre-Purchase Counseling

Buying a home is an enormous financial responsibility, one that requires planning and coordination prior to purchase. We encourage anyone interested in buying their first home to attend homebuyer counseling and education courses to gain a better understanding of the home buying process, from budgeting and financing to selection and maintenance.  Through our partnership with the Financial Resource Center, we provide:

• Pre-purchase Counseling
• Homebuyer Education and Workshops
• Financial Management and Budget Counseling and Workshops

The Financial Resource Center helps first-time homebuyers achieve their dream of homeownership by providing financial counseling, homebuyer education, and down payment and closing cost assistance and is a program of Southeastern Housing and Community Development in partnership with South Carolina Regional Housing Authority No. 3. The center provides personalized financial counseling and guidance to help individuals and families prepare for homeownership.

Our HUD-Certified counselors work with first-time homebuyers and individuals who are interested in improving their financial readiness to purchase a home. We are a HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agency.
